EIDR Research Study - RTD with partner LGU’s and TRC’s

A Round Table Discussion (RTD) with partner Local Government Units (LGU’s) and Treatment Rehabilitation Centers (TRC’s) was held on July 20, 2016 at CAS Alumni Conference Room to present Phase 1 of the research study entitled " Drug Use and Behavioral Health Among Young People in Metro Manila and Neighboring Provinces: A Baseline cum Intervention Study”. Phase I of the study focused on identifying the numerous problems associated with drug use and developing statistical data to more accurately define and determine the most serious problems. In Phase II, the study involves working with focus groups and LGU’s to develop a comprehensive intervention program” to be undertaken within selected local communities.

Members of the research team working with Dean Estacio are Prof. Laurie S. Ramiro and Assistant Professor Andrea Martinez. The research project is funded by the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Program (EIDR) under the UP Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.​
