Abstract:
The Friendly Hills Medical Services, Inc. Real-time Patient Friendly Information System via Bar Code Technology (FHMSI RPF-IS) is a web- based application designed to maintain patient records more efficiently. It allows the front desk (clerk) to manage patient and doctor records. It allows the doctor to add a follow-up record which includes diagnosis and treatment. Laboratory and Diagnostic tests results are also stored by the laboratory staff. Additionally, essential reports such as lab referral are generated by the system for future references and studies. Improvement in the patient registration and admission processes is achieved by use of bar codes on patient. Bar Code Technology also reduces the possibility of errors which ensures the safety of the patient.
