Abstract:
This study dealt mainly with the effectiveness of post-EDSA NEDA
as a central planning agency. The hypothesis of the study was founded on
the historical materialist framework, particularly on Marx’s postulates on
the role of the state. NEDA has been ineffective in planning and operating
for the attainment of a genuine social transformation alongside with
economic growth. Like any other state institutions, it is just a reflection of
the kind of government the country has...an apparatus for the furtherance
of the status quo.
