dc.description.abstract In the Information Age, knowledge is key to empowerment. Cutting-edge information technology has accelerated the flow of knowledge and has revolutionized the way the world works. In the crux of this technology is the Internet. In industries and in business, in governance, social service, and in the academe, the Internet has proven beneficial. Due to this, many are hopeful for its capacities to be harnessed by ensuring that everyone has the capability and the chance to access the Internet. The academe is a potent entity in realizing the goal of universal Internet access, which translates to equity of empowerment. This comparative study imparts insights on the difference in computer and Internet use among high school students enrolled in public and private schools in Las Pinas City. ) This study provides a landscape of information technology among our vibrant youth. Hopefully this endeavor can be of value to policymakers in the future. “Indeed, information technology has potential benefits waiting to be reaped.
