dc.description.abstract Cardiovascular disease is the Philippines' top cause of mortality. CVD typically results to high blood pressure and enlargement of the heart or cardiomegaly. HeartSmart is a web-based decision support tool. It assesses the patient's risk of heart enlargement with chest x-ray image as an input through the use of a convolutional neural network. The trained model in the system gives an accuracy of 71%, which can be further improved before it can be used as a decision support tool for detecting cardiomegaly in patients. en_US
