dc.description.abstract	Monitoring patient records manually has been quite a problem ever since. Human errors are inevitable that may lead to false records. The system speci fically designed for PGH's Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition aims to improve the storage and utilization of medical records originally written on paper by providing an electronic means of taking in forms to be used for data retention, data gathering and report generation. The data in the system can be used for scientifi c research and to keep track of the patient's medical history for signs and previous occurrences of malnutrition via growth charts.	en_US
