DPSM Assistant Professor wins Best Oral Presentation Award at the 20th Asian Chemical Congress

Assistant Professor Jervee M. Punzalan of the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics won the best oral presentation award during the 20th Asian Chemical Congress (20ACC) held last June 23-27, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Her talk entitled, “From zap to map: How Vibrational Spectroscopy Characterizes PEF-induced Changes and Rapidly Predicts Protein Content in Semi-refined Flaxseed Extract”, bested other oral presentations from different presenters across Asia. This recognition reflects excellence in scientific research, innovation in chemistry, and outstanding presentation.


Asst. Prof. Punzalan is currently pursuing her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
