Webinar: Intellectual Property Considerations in the Academe

The Committee on Online Instruction of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) conducted the “Intellectual Property Considerations in the Academe” webinar on 13th August 2020 for University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) constituents. The webinar aimed at providing guidelines on several topics on intellectual property such as copyright, ownership, and fair use. Resource speakers included Dr. Lourdes Tejero, Director of the UPM Technology Transfer and Business Development Office and Atty. James Gumpal, UPM Chief Legal Officer. More than 300 participants registered for the webinar and they came from various academic and research institutions, and offices at the UPM, UPM-School of Health Sciences, UP Diliman, UP Los Baños, and UP Mindanao. Participants from the CAS comprised 30% of registered participants.

The Committee on Online Instruction is headed by Maria Constancia Carrillo, CAS Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
