Scholarship Invitation to Apply for Future Global Leaders Program (FGLP) – Global Scholars Admission at Gyeongsang National University (GNU)

The Future Global Leaders Program (FGLP) – [1] Global Scholars Admission offers TEN scholarships to qualified applicants from non-OECD countries. The scholarship offers approximately $27,000 for two years of study in Master’s programs in Applied Life Science, Pharmacy, Materials Engineering and Convergence Technology, and Veterinary Medicine at GNU. Upon graduation, scholars may have opportunities to pursue Ph.D. programs or commence their careers in Korea.

The Future Global Leaders Program (FGLP) – [2] Descendants of Korea War Veterans Admission offers THREE scholarships to qualified applicants from Colombia, Turkmenistan, Ethiopia, South Africa, the Philippines, Thailand, and India only. As a national flagship university in Korea and a member of OECD nations, GNU believes that they have a responsibility to support the UN combatant nations who fought in the Korean War. In doing so, they strive to cultivate exceptional leaders who will contribute to the development of their respective nations. Their focus is on providing the highest level of educational support possible, ensuring that they repay the sacrifice of combat veterans and contribute to the growth and advancement of the participating nations.

The scholarship offers approximately $27,000 for two years of study in Master’s programs in Applied Life Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering and Convergence Technology, and Biosystems Engineering at GNU. Upon graduation, scholars may have opportunities to pursue Ph.D. programs or commence their careers in Korea.

To be eligible for the FGLP scholarship, applicants must meet specific admission requirements. These include demonstrating English proficiency by presenting valid scores on recognized language tests such as TOEFL (PBT 530, CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600 (New TEPS 327), or providing a document issued by their home university as proof of English proficiency if the applicant holds the nationality of a country that uses English as their mother tongue or official language. The application period is open from February 27 to March 17, 2023. Applicants are required to prepare required documents in PDF format and submit them to oiec@gnu.ac.kr by email. Also, it is possible for a student to apply for both admission.
