CAS joins the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), University of the Philippines (UP) Manila joined the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the first quarter of 2024 as directed and led by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management for Health (DRRM-H) Program team of the UP Manila Healthy University Office (HUO) held Monday last week, March 25, 2024.
During the drill, around 200 students, 60 administrative and support staff, and faculty members, were encouraged to do the “duck, cover and hold” position at the sound of a loud alarm simulating the intensity 7 ground shaking.
In any occurrence of an earthquake, we hope that the CAS UP Manila community is equipped and ready! Stay safe and always remember, DUCK, COVER, HOLD!
