Inje University Representatives Visit the College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences welcomed the representatives from the Inje University Busan Paik Hospital. They visited the College and hosted a symposium at the Department of Biology (DB) on March 20, 2024. The visit aimed to exchange insights into ongoing research initiatives and present opportunities for postgraduate studies at their institution. Faculty members from the Department of Biology (DB) showcased their individual research interests and ongoing projects during the symposium, which was well-attended by both students and faculty.

A courtesy call at the Office of the Dean followed after the symposium. The Inje University delegation met with Dr. Julius Andrew Nuñez, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The courtesy meeting provided an opportunity to explore potential academic and research collaboration.

 

The Inje University delegation was led by Dr. Jin Han, a Professor of Physiology and Director of Cardiovascular Metabolic Disease Center of the National Research Laboratory for Mitochondrial Signaling, together with former CAS Biology students/alumni: Dr. Jubert Marquez and Dr. Maria Faith Garcia, postdoctoral researchers, and Ms. Jessa Flores, a PhD student.

 

The Inje University Paik Hospital is a premier university hospital in Busan, South Korea recognized for its high-quality medical services. The event was organized by the Department of Biology (DB) headed by its Chair, Dr. Jasper John A. Obico.
