Arts and Culture Festival 2024: CAS-based orgs participate in Himigsikan
UP Manila constituents enjoyed the “Himigsikan in UP Manila” held on April 29, 2024 at the UP Manila Theater, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The event featured performances by UP Manila student organizations, including CAS-based organizations UP Manila Biorhythm, the official choir of the Department of Biology, and the UP Manila Salinlahi, the home organization of the BA Philippine Arts Program. Other performers included UP Manila Chorale, UP Manila Groove Dexterity, UP Manila Belle and UP Manila Camp Synergy, among others.
The event was part of the celebration of the Arts and Culture Festival 2024 organized by UP Diliman (UPD) Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts. This annual university-wide festival runs for five months which includes a series of activities like exhibits, walking tours, academic conferences mini-concerts, art installations, documentaries, and others.
The Arts and Culture Festival 2024 opened on Feb. 29, 2024 at UP Carillon Plaza with the theme “Pamamalagi at Pamamahagi”. The UP Diliman Arts and Culture Festival 2024 celebrates the 75th year of the transfer of the Oblation from UP Manila to UP Diliman.
