CAS Profs join trainings in India and USA

Two Assistant Professors from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) joined trainings in India and the USA.


Mr. Joel C. Cornista joined a training workshop on Advance Molecular Biology and Diagnostics Techniques last May 28-June 8, 2024 at Hi-Media Laboratories, Maharashtra, India. The objective of the training was to engage with leading experts through trainings and meetings on latest advancements on Molecular Biology, Tissue Culture, and Cell Biology. Mr. Cornista was funded by Yana Chemodities Inc.

Dr. Julius Andrew P. Nunez, on the other hand, joined a training on X-ray Diffraction last June 3-14, 2024 at the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, USA. The goal of the training was to learn more advanced techniques and analysis software on x-ray diffraction. Dr. Nunez was funded by the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development.
