ICRC, UPM formalize collaboration
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) last August 7, 2024, formally establishing a collaboration with the institution.
The signing of the MOU casts a significant milestone as it aims to enhance joint efforts in health education, professional training, research collaboration, and academic program development.
The MOU was signed by UPM Chancellor Michael L. Tee, CAS Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Julius Andrew P. Nuñez, and ICRC Delegation Head in the Philippines Mr. Johaness Bruwer. Also present during the event were DBS faculty members Dr. Ma. Teresa G. De Guzman, Marilyn E. Crisostomo, Laufred I. Hernandez, and Dr. Calvin S. Delos Reyes. Dr. Reynaldo H. Imperial of the Department of Social Sciences (DSS) was also present during the signing.
