College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) welcomed the new members of the Executive Committee during the flag ceremony on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Newly-elected Dean Dr. Ma. Teresa G. De Guzman, of the Department of Behavioral Sciences (DBS), introduced the members of the Dean’s Management Team during her opening remarks. She also reminded the CAS faculty members, staff, and students to bear in mind the meaning of the university hymn “UP Naming Mahal”. Additionally, Dean De Guzman reiterated her mantra for her Deanship and encouraged the staff to always incorporate PHD in their service – “Puso, Dangal, at Husay”.

Dr. Dindo P. Cafe, Dr. Jay T. Dalet, and Assistant Professor Archie P. Geneta also delivered their messages as new Associate Dean for Research and Public Service (ADREPS), Associate Dean for Planning and Development (ADPD), and new Chairperson of DBS, respectively.

Dr. Jasper John A. Obico is also newly-appointed as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (ADAA).
